天皇の崩御って英語でなんて言うの？
「元号が変わるときは一般的に、天皇の崩御で皇位が継承されたときです。」
と言いたいです。

「天皇の崩御」
は英語で
Demise of an Emperor
といいます。
In general, when the Throne was succeeded to by demise of the Emperor, the name of an era changed.
「元号が変わるときは一般的に、天皇の崩御で皇位が継承されたときです。」
ただ、demiseという固い単語を使わず、
passed away
death
といった、一般人の死去の場合に用いる単語で表現されることもあります。
The Emperor is dead.
The Emperor has passed away.
