縄文杉って英語でなんて言うの？

屋久島に行ったら縄文杉を見て、と友達に勧めたいです。

「縄文杉」は英語で
Jomon Cedar
Japanese Cedar
Cryptomeria (japonica) 
などの言い方があります。

例：
When I lived in Kyushu I was fortunate enough to visit Yakushima, the island where you can see the oldest and largest cedar tree called Jomon Sugi.
「九州に住んでいた時、縄文杉と呼ばれる最も古くて大きい杉が見れる屋久島に行けて幸運だった。」
縄文杉のことは the oldest largest cedar tree のように説明することができます。


You should make sure you see Jomon Sugi if you ever visit Yakushima.  It's the oldest Cedar tree on the island.
「屋久島に行くことがあったら縄文杉を見に行った方がいいよ。島で一番古い杉なんだ。」
何かを勧める時に You should make sure ... をよく使って言います。「〜した方がいいよ」と言う言い方です。
