アメリカでは[朝食](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/32172/)を出すプログラムもあるので、school breakfastというのもあります。
例：

The school lunch today was pizza.
今日の給食はピザだった。
"Would you like a packed lunch today or a school meal?"
"Could I have a packed lunch please mum as I want to sit with my friend and have chat during the break."
"What about tomorrow?"
"Mum, please do me a packed lunch every day: you know I hate school meals!"
Lunch that is served at a school, in English is most commonly referred to as either "School lunch" or "School meal".
Example sentence: Today, the school lunch was not very nice.
school dinners are the term used for schools
usually primary and secondary level that provide
a meal during the day. most schools now have canteens
or vending machines so that students can choose
their own lunch, however these still provide an option
for a hot dinner or "school dinner".
school dinnersは、通常小学校、中学校で日中に出される食事を表す時に使われる語です。
現在大半の学校では、自分で昼食が選べるように学生食堂や自動販売機がありますが、これらの学校でもhot dinner、school dinnerを選べるようにしています。
学校の給食のことは英語で「school lunch」と単に「school meal」といいます。
