（前置詞の使い方について）「右上に」って英語でなんて言うの？

「In」か「on」、どちらを使うかは場合によって違います。

Please write your name on the top right of your paper.
紙の右上にお名前を書いてください。

It is on the top right of the page.
ページの右上にあります。

It's on the top right shelf.
右上の棚にあります。

ほとんどの場合、「on」を使うと思います。
恐らく、奥行きがあるものだと、「in」が使えます。

Where is the butter?
It's in the top right of the refrigerator.
バターはどこ？
冷蔵庫の右上にある。

パソコンやスマホの画面だと、「in」と「on」両方使う気がします。

You can see it in the top right of your screen.
画面の右上にあります。

You can see it on the top right of your screen.
画面の右上にあります。

「右上」を英語で表す場合、in、on、at などの前置詞が使われます。それぞれのニュアンスや使い方に違いがあります。

1. In the upper right
   
   • 「右上の中に」というニュアンスで、領域内に焦点を当てています。
   • 特に、何かの枠や境界の中（例: 図、画面、地図など）の「右上」に位置していることを指します。

例文:
- "The icon is in the upper right corner of the screen."
（アイコンは画面の右上の隅にあります。）
- "You can find the details in the upper right section of the document."
（詳細は書類の右上の部分にあります。）

2. On the upper right
   
   • 「右上の上に」というニュアンスで、表面上に位置していることを強調します。
   • 画面や紙の表面、壁などの平面上に何かがある場合に使います。
