Tomohiro様の英文が完璧だと思いますよ。ただ、後半の疑問文にAre theirをAre theyに書き直す必要があります（入力の間違いだけだと思いますね）。上記の2番目の回答では他の聞き方を提案しています。そして、一番カジュアルな言い方は、What's up with Mike and Ben? Are they close?です。
