In common usage, in American English, when you talk about a gold medal, it is assumed you are referring to the Olympics. In my first sentence, I make no mention of the Olympics specifically, but instead just refer to "Rio". This will be assumed to be the Olympic games.

These three casual phrases to describe such situation, using the word Conceived defines something that was created,made developed.
the expression 'took home' refers to winning a particular thing, in this case taking home/winning the gold medal
「〜競技史上初の金メダル」は英語で first-ever gold medal in ... と言うことができます。
