頭の数字を変えてくださいって英語でなんて言うの？

Holdenさんの文章は通じますが "number" を言えば "1000" の前後を変える意味になるかもしれません。

一番適切な言い方はこう、
"Please change the first digit."
"please change ~" 「〜を変えてください」
"the first" 「一つ目」・「最初の」・「頭の」
"digit" 「数字」"digit" はいつも一つだけの数字を指します。

例えば 12　が　"2 digits" を持っている

「頭の数字を変えてください」は英語で「Please change the first number.」と言います。また、「leading」は「最初」の意味で「leading digit」も頭の数の意味です。1,000の場合で千の位の数字を変える時は「Please change the digit in the thousands place.」と言います。千の位は「thousands」、百の位は「hundreds」、十の位は「tens」と言います。

1,000番台の数字を頭の数字だけ3に変えて下さい。
