- I broke my bills while shopping, but now I can't use coins from my change.
- I bought something to break down my bills but then I couldn't use the coins from the change.
- The copy machine at the convenience store does not accept bills, so you have to prepare coins. Since the cashier wouldn't break my bills, I went through the trouble of buying a bottle of coffee in order to get change. However, this time, the 500 yen coin I received was not compatible with the copy machine, so I had to ask the clerk to replace it with a coin that could be used. It was not a smooth process. Luckily I wasn't in a hurry, so I was able to do it in a relaxed manner.
