Would it be OK to look at some alternative material, please?
Alternative = (of one or more things) available as another possibility or choice, different, other, another, second, possible, substitute, replacement
"The various alternative methods for resolving disputes."
Example:
"What do you think of this material?"
"I think it's too difficult. Would it be OK to look at some alternative material, please?"
"Sure thing!"
Alternative = (一つやそれ以上の物)取って代わるもの、代替えが出来るもの
"The various alternative methods for resolving disputes."
"What do you think of this material?"
"I think it's too difficult. Would it be OK to look at some alternative material, please?"
"Sure thing!"
Can we move on from this material and choose another?
This is a way of saying that you are done with the current material and that you want to move on to new material so that you can learn more in the lesson.
Is it possible to skip onto the next section please.
As you are speaking to your teacher we have to maintain a polite disposition.
"May I please..."
We often interchange the words "can," and "may" even though it is not grammatically correct to do so.
"Is it possible to..."
This phrase is asking if something is possible. It is another polite way in asking to move onto something new.
You will see that the second part of both sentences are the same as it is asking for what you want.
These sentences are able to be used when you are asking for anything!
"May I please..."(...
"Is it possible to..."(...
Could we move onto a different material now please?
Is it ok if we use a different material now please?
The information or textbook you use to learn something is also called 'material' if you want to try another piece of information his is called a 'different' material to ask if it is ok then you can say 'could we move' or 'is it ok'
when reading and learning a certain material this can also be called to 'use'

to 'proceed' with something is implying to continue with something else or the same thing.
"Could we use an alternative material?"
Using the term 'Alternative' expresses that you'd like to use something different to what you would be using now.
"Can we please proceed to the next material?"(次の教材に進んでもいいですか)
"Could we use an alternative material?"(別の教材を使ってもいいですか)
