～を我慢する
put up with はシチュエーションや人に対して不満を言わずに受け入れる(我慢する)時に使われます。
今回は、テレビを見たいのにも関わらず、見るのを我慢しなければならないシチュエーションになるのでput up withを使いました。
またuntilですが、その期間までずっとという「継続」のニュアンスになります。
なので、試験が終わるまでの期間ずっとテレビを見ないということになります。
ちなみに、よく混同するのがbyですが、byは期限を表すので、「～までに」という意味で、継続とは違い、一度でも、その期限までに終えれば終了というニュアンスになります。
byとuntilの違いはよくごちゃごちゃになる受講生が当校でもいらっしゃいますので、よかったら、違いを使い分けて、使ってみてくださいね＾＾

Your friends approach you. They are laughing and joking.
"Henry, we're going down the pub to play pool. Fancy coming along with us?"
"Yes, Henry. You're so boring these days! You've always got your head in a book!"
"Yeh, Henry's such an introvert. He'll probably just watch TV by himself."
You decide to respond to these taunts:
"I'm going to concentrate on my studies until the exams are over. TV and the pub are out until after my exams!"
あなたの友達が近づいてきます。

そこであなたは言い返します。

If you are doing something and not doing something else than you can say I am doing ......... rather than doing .......
So 'I'm going to concentrate on studying for my exams rather than watching TV'
あることをして別のことをしないなら、'I am doing ......... rather than doing .......' と言えます。
ですから：
'I'm going to concentrate on studying for my exams rather than watching TV'
（テレビは見ないで試験勉強に集中します）
I will not watch TV until I have finished my exams.
I'm going to focus on my exams and study instead of watching TV.
"I'm going to focus on my exams and study instead of watching TV." to 'focus' on something means you will concentrate/ put your attention into that certain this, in this case to study.
"I'm going to focus on my exams and study instead of watching TV."（テレビは見ないで試験に集中して勉強する）
= 'To Focus on something’は「～に集中する」という意味です。ここでは「勉強に集中する」と言っています。
