数学はmathematicsですが、略してmathと言うことも多いです。
算数も同じです。
mathは会話の中で「計算」という意味でも使われます。
I can't do simple math in my head.（頭の中で単純計算できない）
ちなみにアメリカ英語ではmathですが、イギリス英語などではmathsと言うことが多いです。
授業の「数学」は英語で「mathematics」と言いますが、省略の「math」（米）か「maths」（英）の方が使われています。

Maths or Mathematics are usually used in school and it encompasses the whole general idea of what Math is, which would include Geometry and Algebra. But in the US, at high school, Math becomes more diverse and classes that are considered Math would branch out to Trigonometry and Algebra, which would focus on these particular parts of Math.
