  • I'd like to pass the self introduction.

  • I'd like to introduce myself quickly.

skipは飛ばす、抜かすという意味です。 授業を休んだりする時も、skip the classなんて言います。 passはもう日本語になってますね。 両方とも、自己紹介を丸々飛ばすようなニュアンスです。 3例文目は、ちょっとだけ自己紹介します、 という表現もあります。 これでかなり簡単な自己紹介で済みます。

  • If you don't mind, I'd like to get into the lesson without the introductions.

  • Do you mind if we just go into our lessons without doing the introductions?

「○○したい」という場合は一方的に断言しているのではないので、実際は〝Can we...?” (○○してもいいですか?)と質問系にしつつ、相手に同意を求める言い方にすることでニュアンスが近くなることと思います。 従って最初の例文のように、「Can we just skip...?」(○○してもいいですか?)という言い方で、〝簡単に”、〝単に”、という意味の〝just” を入れることで相手に強制するつもりはないという柔らかい意味合いを持たせて聞くことができます。 また、〝if you don't mind”(もし宜しければ)や、三個目の例のように、〝Do you mind?"

  • I'd like to skip right to the lesson, please.

  • I prefer to get started right away with the lesson.

We use the phrase "skip right to" or "skip straight to" to put the focus on what we would like to move towards, as opposed to the thing that we've decided to skip. This is helpful in the given situation. Have a great day!
「skip right to」や「skip straight to」というフレーズを使うことで、スキップすると決めた場所を抜かして、進みたい場所までから始めよう、表せます。 こういった状況で役立ちます。 良い一日を。

  • I prefer to skip the self-introductions today please.

  • Would it be possible to skip the intros for my lesson today?

    play icon

The first expression is very formal and polite using the words "prefer" and "please". The second expression can be used for a less formal situation. The word "intros" is an abbreviation for the word "introductions". This is a very common native custom to abbreviate or shorten words as much as possible.
一つ目の文は、"prefer" や "please" を使っていて、とてもフォーマルで丁寧です。 二つ目の文は、よりカジュアルな場面で使えます。 "intros" は "introductions" の省略形です。 語を省略、短縮するのはネイティブの間でとても一般的です。

  • Shall we go straight to the material please?

  • Let's get straight down to business, shall we?

    play icon

To go straight to something = to go directly, without deviation. You could of course just say, "Please let's pass on the introductions and move straight to the material," and teachers are used to this kind of request. However, in context, it may be a useful exercise to try to convey the meaning of this long sentence in a much shorter way: "Shall we go straight to the material please?" Aditionally, in this, or even a work situation, a useful phrase for cutting out the small talk and skipping the formalities is: "Let's get straight down to business, shall we?"
To go straight to something = 単刀直入に、まっすぐと、寄り道せずに "Please let's pass on the introductions and move straight to the material," といえば、教材にすぐに移ってくれるでしょう。 しかし、この場合もっと短くいって意味を伝えるのもあるいは有効的かもしれません。 "Shall we go straight to the material please?" すぐに教材に入りませんか? また、職場であっても、雑談を飛ばしたり、堅苦しい挨拶を抜きにするのにも使えます。 例:"Let's get straight down to business, shall we?"

To tell your teacher this information, you need to use any of these two sentences. I would prefer the second one, only because it's a more polite version of the same thing.
先生にこれを伝えるなら、上記の表現が使えます。 私なら二つ目の例を使うと思います。一つ目の例よりも丁寧です。
