「このあたりは混みます」って英語でなんて言うの?

駅のホームで大きな荷物を持った外国人に、「このあたりは混みます。電車の前の方(または後ろの方)が空いてますよ」と教えてあげたいのですが、どのような表現が適切でしょうか?

  • The cars around here tend to be more full but if you go to either end they are less crowded.

例文1「この辺りの車両は混みやすいけど、先頭か後方の方に行けばもう少し空いていますよ。」というニュアンスです。 「車両」は car と言います。 「混む」は be full や be crowded と言うことができます。 例文2「両端の車両は、通常真ん中の方に比べると混雑していない。」というニュアンスです。 both ends で「両端」という意味です。 towards the middle で「真ん中の方」という意味です。 ご参考になれば幸いです!

「このあたり」はホームではなく電車の中のことなので、主語を train にして  The train is crowded around here. (電車の)このあたりは混みます。 と言いましょう。 「空いてますよ」は not so crowded を使えば「前または後ろ」を主語にして  The forward or rear part (of the train) will not be so crowded. と言えます。 もう1つ、find more space を使えば主語が You になり、  You'll find more space in the forward or rear part. となります。
