in kindergarten(幼稚園に通っている)と言うこともできます。 例: My son is a kindergartener. My son is in kindergarten.

The terms "pre-schooler" and "kindergartner" are interchangeable terms. "Pre-schooler" is more British English and "Kindergartner" is more American. For example: -My child is a kindergartner and he is so excited about learning new things everyday. -Sam is a pre-schooler and he has made new friends at his new pre-school.
例文 -My child is a kindergartner and he is so excited about learning new things everyday. 私の子供は幼稚園児で、[毎日](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/34286/)新しいことを[学ぶ](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/51764/)ことにワクワクしている -Sam is a pre-schooler and he has made new friends at his new pre-school.

The playground is mainly for preschoolers.(その公園は主に幼稚園児用です) The kids in kindergarten are supposed to bring their lunch.(幼稚園児はお昼ご飯を持って行くことになっている)

日本でいう幼稚園の年少・年中が通うところが「preschool(プリスクール)」で、 幼稚園の年長が通うところが「kindergarten(キンダーガーデン)」です。

1. In the U.S, children that attend pre-school are called "pre-schoolers". Children that enroll in pre-school are usually under 5 years old. Pre-school is a way to transition young students into an academic and social setting before they enroll in kindergarten. It's a great resource for parents to prepare their child for early education, and is used very often in the United States. 2. Similarly, children that attend kindergarten are called "kindergartners". The age of enrollment is usually around the ages of 5-6 years old.

"Pre-schooler"" "Kindergartener" Both terms are popular in the U.S. and used to describe a child that has just begun its school journey. Depending on what part of the U.S. you are in one is more common than the other.
