日本語を勉強している外国人の方への質問です。
特に【日本語を勉強してみて】の部分をどう英語で表現したらいいかわからなくて困ってます。

日本語を勉強してみた経験がある方に感想を聞きたい場合は下記の聞き方でいかがでしょうか？
Do you feel that Japanese is difficult to learn, now that you've started studying it?
→日本語を勉強し始めて、難しいと感じましたか？
「してみて」は英語で「to try doing」です。とくに新しいや今までやってみたことがないことについて話に使います。
例えば:
She tried singing a new song, but she couldn't remember the words.
I tried learning how to play the piano, but I gave up.
日本語を勉強してみて = to try learning Japanese
”find"と言う単語を聞くと「探す」という意味が初めに思い浮かぶかと思いますが、
この場合は「理解する」「気づく」という意味になります。何を気づいたか、何を思ったかを聞くときに find を使うことができます。
以下の２つ文章は似ていますが、②のほうが実際に勉強してみたうえで
感じたことを聞いているイメージになります。
① Do you think studying Japanese difficult?
② Do you find studying Japanese difficult?
①はシンプルに、「日本語は難しいと思いますか」という意味です。
日本語をこれから勉強しようとしている人に対しても聞くことができる質問です。
反対に、②は実際に勉強してみてどんな気づきがありましたか、という質問になります。
A 'challenge' is something that is 'difficult to accomplish'. To 'get going' with something means to 'get started.' When something is 'hard' it is 'difficult'. 'The test was hard, so I failed.'
「challenge」とは「達成するのが難しいこと」です。
「To get going with something」は「始める」という意味です。
「hard」は「難しい」という意味です。
The test was hard, so I failed.
（テストは難しかったので、落ちました。）

When you want to ask whether someone found it hard to learn Japanese when they started; then you may ask this in the following ways:

When you take the time to learn a new language others want to know how difficult it is especially in the beginning. This idea is talked about or asked here in this question.
"Do you find learning..."
People learn different languages, so this addresses both learning a new language as well as especially learning Japanese and how difficult it might be.

→外国語を学んでいる人が、学び始めたときにそれをどの程度難しいと感じたかというのは、多くの人が気になるところです。この質問では、その点について尋ねています。
"Do you find learning..."
