子供ができるというのは、「妊娠している」という意味ですね。 英語で主に使うフレーズは3つあります。 1つ目は単に「妊娠している」という I’m pregnant ポイント:日本語の方は動詞ですが、英語の方は形容詞ですからいつも「be pregnant」です。 I pregnant (X!! とてもおかしい) I am pregnant (◯ 自然) 他の言い方もあります。 I am having a baby このフレーズはなぜ現在進行形になるかというと、 もう直ぐ起こることを表現するからです。 A: What are you going to do today? 今日は(もう直ぐ)何をしますか? B: I’m going to go to my friends house (もう直ぐ)友達の家にいきます 以上の行動まだ起こっていないのですが、近いうちに起こるから現在進行形を使います。 I’m expecting このフレーズは(子供を産むのを)期待しています。 直接「子供を」と言わないのでこのフレーズは少しフォーマルです。もし旦那さんも含めるなら、We’reを使います。 A: We’re Expecting B: Oh, congratulations! When is the baby due?

When speaking about personal things such as pregnancy, the type of speech used depends to a great extent on the relationship the two speakers have. However all of the above expressions are both polite and casual.

The three sentences you see above are great ways to express that you are pregnant. In the second sentence you will see the phrase add another member to the family. We use this term a lot, especially if someone is pregnant or perhaps adopting a child. I hope these three sentences and this explanation help you out!
上記の三つの例文は、妊娠していることを言い表すとても素晴らしい表現です。 二つ目の例文では"add another member to the family"(新しい家族が加わる)という言葉を目にすると思います。この表現は、特に、妊娠していたり子供を養子に迎える場合に、よく使われます。 三つの例文と説明がお役に立てば幸いです!

All are good terms to use although it would depend on which one the person prefers to use and maybe who they are talking to as well although they all mean the same thing
三例とも良い表現です。どれを使うかは好みや話す相手によります。意味はすべて同じです。

A casual way of announcing a pregnancy is usually chosen from the three phrases, ‘I’m expecting’, (meaning I’m expecting a baby), ‘I’m pregnant’, or ‘I’m going to have a baby’. ‘I’m pregnant’ is in the present tense whilst the other two phrases are looking to the future. It is also possible to substitute ‘I’m’ for ‘we’re’ if you are speaking as a couple.
妊娠していることをカジュアルに伝える場合、普通以下の三つのいずれかが使われます。 I’m expecting.(expecting 'a baby'という意味です) I’m pregnant. I’m going to have a baby. (妊娠しているの。) 「I’m pregnant.」は現在形ですが、他の二つは未来形です。カップルとして話しているなら「I’m」の代わりに「we’re」を使うこともできます。

Let's start with these Australian/British pregnancy expressions. Both these expressions "up the duff" and "bun in the oven" are humorous and casual ways of telling someone that you are pregnant. These are by no means polite or professional ways of explaining your pregnancy! Their origins are British and are used in Australia. There is a book by an Australian comedian called 'Up The Duff' which has lots of very useful pregnancy information!! "I am having a baby!" or "We are having a baby". These are straight forward, casual ways of explaining that you are pregnant and expecting a baby.
オーストラリア(イギリス)の妊娠の表現から始めましょう。 "up the duff"と、"bun in the oven"はどちらも、妊娠していることを伝えるユーモラスでカジュアルな表現です。決して、丁寧、またフォーマルな表現ではありません!イギリスが起源で、オーストラリアで使われてます。'Up The Duff'というオーストラリアのお笑い芸人が書いた本があって、妊娠についての役立つ情報がたくさん載っています!! "I am having a baby"、または"We are having a baby"、これらは、妊娠していることを表すストレートでカジュアルな言い方です。
