洗濯の工程の「脱水」は spin cycle や spin dry と言います。
The spin cycle on my washer seems to take forever.
「うちの洗濯機の脱水はものすごく長い。（ものすごく時間がかかる）」
ちなみに我が家の洗濯機の設定には、
drain and spin（溜まっている水を抜いて脱水）
rinse and spin（ゆすいで脱水）
final spin（最後の脱水）
などというのがあります。

「脱水」という言葉を英語で伝えると、「dehydration」という言葉になります。例えば、「脱水症状」は「symptoms of dehydration」です。洗濯について話す場合に、「dry cycle」という表現も「spin cycle」という表現も使っても良いです。例えば、「The spin cycle on this washing machine takes fifteen minutes.」という文章を使っても良いです。この文章に、「take」は「かかる」という意味があって、「washing machine」は「洗濯機」という意味があります。
「脱水」は直訳したら、英語でevaporationかdehydrationと言います。しかし、洗濯機の場合には英語でspin dryかspin cycleと言います。これは洗濯機の工程で水を絞ることです。
例：
I often use the spin cycle since I don’t have a dryer.
私はドライヤーがないので、よく脱水の工程を使います。
She pushed the “spin dry” button on her washing machine.
彼女は洗濯機の「脱水」ボタンを押しました。
He didn’t buy that washing machine because it doesn’t have a spin cycle function.
あの洗濯機は脱水の工程がないから、彼はその洗濯機を買いませんでした。
