財布は母が握ってて、父は小遣い制です。。って英語でなんて言うの？

A) My mother controls the purse strings.
意味：母が財布のひもを握っています。

Purse = 財布

Strings = ひも

My mother holds the purse strings.
とcontrol のかわりにHold も使えます。

Holdはつかむ、握る、保つ意味があるのでまさに日本語の表現を同じですね！

B) My father is on an allowance.
意味：父はお小遣い制です。

be on an allowance ＝ お小遣いで生活する＝お小遣い制
allowance = お小遣い・定期的に支給される手当。

Be / live on ~ = ~ で暮らす。

例：
People around here live on fish.
（このあたりの人たちは魚類を食します。）

C) The pocket money is allocated for my father every month.
意味：父は毎月お小遣いをもらっています。

Pocket money = お小遣い。

Allocate = 配当する。分配する。

Be allocated = 渡される。割り当てられる。
