最初のは「子供たちが行きたい場所に行こうと思う」の訳となります。ここでは「where ○○ want to go」で「○○が行きたい場所」、「thinking」で考える、思うと表してます。
次の例文は少し表現を変え「子供たちに行くところを決めさせる」と言う風になります。こちらでは「where to go」の変わりに「destination」（行き先）も使えます。
