Notice that in the first and second example we have basically the same sentence structure, but the second clause is either referring to the phone's ability to charge with, "it," as it's pronoun or, "I can't charge it."
Lastly we can sometimes just say that it doesn't charge anymore and people will understand that it's probably broken.
