for the time being（ちょっと長い言い方の気がするけど間違えではない）
なので、居酒屋に入って「とりあえずビール下さい」を言いたいなら下記でいいです：

＊「とりあえず」の代わりに「始めに」に相当する「first」の言葉を入れました。この場面で、「とりあえず」と同じ気分を伝えます。後で追加するという意味合いが入っています。

We can just ask for what we want.
In the UK, you can either buy bottles of beer or draft beer.
Draft beer comes in pints (large glasses) and half pints .

We can just ask for, "any beer," if it doesn't matter what type of beer we want. We can say that any beer, "will be fine," to say to the waiter. Or sometimes its easiest to simply ask for, "your most popular beer," to still hopefully get a nice beer if it matters.
