途中の道のりって英語でなんて言うの？

山登りは、頂上に着いた時の眺めは最高だけど、そこに辿り着くまでの道中が大変だ。と言いたいです。
the view from the top of the mountain is amazing, but the way to the top is really tough.と考えました。

他の言い方をするなら、「途中の道のり」は getting up there を使っても表現できます。

例：
The scenery from the peak of the mountain is amazing, but getting up there is a real workout. 
「山頂からの景色は素晴らしいけど、そこにたどり着くまでが大変だ」
scenery で「景色」
peak of the mountain で「山頂」
workout で「鍛錬・骨の折れる仕事」
