片親の子供もいるって英語でなんて言うの？

シングルファーザーや、シングルマザーが珍しくない時代ですが、失礼のない表現はありますでしょうか。Some children have one parent.  はなんだか違うのかなと思っております。

この場合次のように言えると思います。
ーSome children have only one parent.
「片親しかいない子供もいる」

ーSome kids only have a mother/father.
「母親/父親しかいない子供もいる」

ーSome kids are raised by a single parent.
「片親に育てられている子供もいる」
to be raised by ... で「…によって育てられる」
