この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
ーI'm finally allowed to join my friends for drinks, but COVID will probably spread again, which worries me.
「やっと友達と一緒に飲めるよ。でもまたコロナが蔓延するだろうから心配だよ」
to be finally allowed to ... 「やっと…することが許される」を使っても表現できます。
