この英文はコンテキストがないとき、少し分かりづらいかもしれませんので、「What about another day besides that one?」の方が良いと思います。日本語だと「その日以外はどうですか？」という意味です。
また、「夏休みは両親の家に行く以外は家にいるよ」は英語で「Besides the days when I'll be going to my parent's home during summer vacation, I'll mostly be in my own home」と言えます。
