Hoodie is the abbreviation of 'hooded jumper'. Hoodie is a popular term in the UK. It's so common that one of our previous Prime Minister's, David Cameron, actually launched a political campaign called 'Hug a Hoodie', which was to try to encourage good relations between young people (who often wear hoodie's) and the older generation (who most often don't wear hoodies!).
We use the word 'jumper' to refer to a piece of clothing with long sleeves and thick material. It is also called a sweater or sweatshirt, but the most common term used in the UK is jumper. There is even a comedy song called "Where's me jumper?" by a band called the Sultans of Ping, which is a very funny song about losing your jumper in a nightclub! :)
"Hoodie"
"the Sultans of Ping"と言うバンドによって歌われた"Where's me jumper?"
The first expression is the Singular, used to refer to one of those types of clothing.
The second expression is the pluralisation of "Hoody" used to refer to two or more of that item of clothing.
