「そのお友達とは久し振りに会ったのですか？」の他の疑問文はHad it been a long time since you'd seen your friend?です。
そして、how long has it been?とhow long had it been?に対しては今回どっちでも使えます。

「Did you meet」は「会いましたか？」という意味で、過去の出来事を尋ねる表現です。
