教えるつもりで学ぶって英語でなんて言うの？

現在、会社で機械設計の研修を受けていますが、「人に教えるつもりで学ぶって大事だな」と感じました。

そこで以下のように英作文しました。
「誰かに教えるつもりで設計を学ぶことは重要だな。」
It is important to learn drawing to tend to teach for someone.
自然な言い回しを教えて頂けないでしょうか？

「教えるつもりで」＝「teaching」
「設計」＝「design」
「学ぶこと」＝「learning」
「重要だ」＝「important」
「な」＝「(I) feel like」

おっしゃったように「 It is important to learn drawing to tend to teach for someone.」はほとんどいいです。

「It is important to learn design with the intention of teaching somebody.」の方が良いかもしれません。

「設計」＝「design」だと思いますが、「drawing」も大丈夫そうです。

後は文法の「〜なぁ」は「I feel like」＝「と思う」と言うニュアンスがするので、あれば良いと思います。この場合では「I feel like it is important to learn design with the intention of teaching somebody.」になります。
