When I don't use English regularly, words don't come easily.

「とっさの」はimmediateとimmediatelyのことですが、easilyも使えますし自然な言い方ですので提案しています。
「普段」はusuallyとかregularlyなどです。
「話す」はspeakですが、言語(英語・日本語・フランス語など)と一緒にuseも使えますね。
