年ぶりって英語でなんて言うの？
会話中に「〜年ぶり」という表現を使いたかったけど、とっさに出てこなかったです。

for the first time in ... years
「…年ぶり」は for the first time in ... years と言います。
「10年ぶり」と言うなら、for the first time in 10 years となります。
I went to the Opera last weekend for the first time in 3 years.
「先週末、3年ぶりにオペラを見に行った。」
上の文を下のように言い換えることもできます。
I hadn't been to the Opera for three years until last weekend.
「先週まで３年間オペラに行っていなかった。」＝「3年ぶり」のニュアンスになります。
