「山本さんという方からお電話です」
It's a (phone) call from a Mr.(Ms.) Yamamoto.
電話のphone callのphoneを略して、it's a callでも大丈夫です。
a Mr.(Ms.) Yamamotoの[a]というのは、「～という方」の意味で、特に初めて聞いた名前に関して使います。
自分も転送先も知っている人からの電話の場合、[a]は付けません。
(It's a phone call from Mr. Yamamoto.)
基本的にMr.かMs.を使いますが、もし職場で「～さん」を使われているならYamamoto-sanのままでも使えます。
Mr.かMs.を使うとわかりやすくなるので、それをお勧めします。

have を使って「～から電話をもらう」have a phone call from ～という言い方ができます。
これが過去の出来事なら You had a phone call from.
もし指名された方が電話に出られなければ
「ご伝言をお受けしましょうか？」Can I take your message?
と聞いてあげるのも親切ですね。

In this case we would express it like this; "I hate to disturb you but you have a call from ...(insert name)"
take a call＝電話に出る
be on a call＝電話をしている
expect a call (from ...)＝（...の）電話を待つ
この場面では以下のように言えます：
