暑かったけど日陰が多かったから日陰を通るようにしたって英語でなんて言うの？

この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。

ーIt was a hot day today, but there were a lot of shaded areas, so I was okay as long as I stayed in the shade.
「今日は暑かったけど、日陰が多かったので、日陰にいる限りは大丈夫だった」
shaded areas「日陰」
to stay in the shade「日陰にいる」
