「はじめの挨拶」「終わりの挨拶」って英語でなんて言うの？

「greeting」は「to greet」（[迎える](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/54271/)、[歓迎する](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/59810/)、挨拶をする）という動詞から来ている単語なので「初めの挨拶」という意味になります。「終わりの挨拶」というではありません。 スピーチ、発表、プレゼンテーションの「初めの挨拶」は「greeting」、「opening address」という英語を使います。最後の挨拶は「closing address」、「closing remarks」です。これらの単語はビジネス英語、フォーマルな場面て使います。 日常会話では、「greeting」（初めの挨拶）という名詞よりも「greet」、「welcome」、「say hi/hello」という動詞・フレーズが使われています。 The teacher welcomed the class.
