You may use the phrase 'make a beeline' for.
The idiom or phrase 'make a beeline' for a place means that you will go to that place as quickly and directly as possible.
In this case, if you say: From work, I will make a beeline for the restaurant, you mean to say, from work, you will go to the restaurant as quickly and as directly as possible.
You will not pass through or delay at any other place.
The second sentence is exactly the same as the first one, except that it is stated a little differently.
