上記一番目は直訳。２番目はもっと自然な英語。「近づいたら」とは、何に近づくかは不明です。空港にはもう入っているでしょう。「空港に近づいたら」という意味じゃないでしょう。それに、「来日する」は「come to Japan」になりますが、英語的にいらないと思います。ポイントは、その有名な人が「その空港に」着いたということでしょう。

この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。

XXに有名人の名前を入れてください。
