他人(友人、恋人、家族)に依存しない人間になりたいって英語でなんて言うの？

I want to enjoy my life on my own terms.

There are million reasons not to do things when you look for them but that is not how I want to live my life.

I want to be someone that doesn't depend on others.　他人を頼るような人間にはなりたくない、でほぼ直訳になりますね。

depend on someone：人に頼る、甘える、依存する

参考までに I choose a life where I venture into many different fields, visiting new places and meeting new people.（わたしは色々な分野に足を踏み入れて、新しい場所を訪れ新しい人に出会う、そんな生活を選択する。）

venture という動詞は「危険を冒して...する」といった意味合いがあります。
