英題、邦題って英語でなんて言うの？

Sometimes the film titles are translated literally so it would be simply 'a translated title.' However sometimes the literal translation sounds bad or inappropriate or may not be sufficiently close in meaning to be adopted. In that case, an alternative title in the target language is chosen which may best suit the film and the film's content - and also be appealing to the cinema-going public.

English title - This means that the movie is in another language but it is translating on the screen in English. Japanese title - This means that the movie is in another language but it is translating on the screen in Japanese.

As we know, when movies are in different countries, the titles of the movies can be different and can change depending on the language and the culture. The "English title" and the "Japanese title" can change a lot depending on what the movie is about. So the "translation" could be different.

A movie that is made in English usually has an English title, but if that title is translated into Japanese then you could call "Japanese title" of an English film.

Sometimes the movie industry changes the titles to make them more understandable in different languages. For example, there is a new American animated film originally called "Coco". Coco is the original title. But in Japan they called it "Remember me", this would be the title of the film in Japanese or the Japanese title. When they translate the title into the country's language, that would be the translated title. Also for languages we say "I'm going to see the film in it's original language" or "I'm going to see the film translated into Japanese". Many times the film is dubbed. "I saw the dubbed version, not the original version". Dubbed means the voices are changed and the words into another language.
