ポイント:「three-day weekend」「three days」ではなく。 Starting this Saturday, we have a three-day weekend in Japan. We have three days off in Japan starting this Saturday.

▪It is a long weekend in Japan. Monday is a holiday and I am taking off on Friday so I have a 4 day weekend. ▪We have a 3 day weekend this weekend in Japan. Mine is 4 days because I am taking off on Friday too.

You can say "this weekend in Japan is a public holiday so we have a three-day weekend." To explain about your day off you could say "I am taking Friday off work so I get a four-day weekend!" In the UK we call three-day weekends "bank holidays" as traditionally on the monday of a public holiday the banks are closed.
「this weekend in Japan is a public holiday so we have a three-day weekend.(日本は今週末は祝日なので、3連休になります。)」 有給について説明するときは、「I am taking Friday off work so I get a four-day weekend!(金曜日有給を取るので、4連休になる!)」

You can make the statement two sentences by saying "It's a 3 day weekend in Japan this weekend. I'm taking Friday off as well, so I have a 4 day weekend". If you want to express both in one simple sentence you can say "I've made the 3 day weekend in Japan a 4 day weekend by taking Friday off"; although you don't say Monday is the holiday, it implies that it is because you are taking the Friday off to make it 4 days. A weekend that has a day on either side of it as a holiday or a non-working day can be referred to as "a long weekend". The last suggestion uses that phrase.
"It's a 3 day weekend in Japan this weekend. I'm taking Friday off as well, so I have a 4 day weekend" 今週末、日本は3連休です。 "I've made the 3 day weekend in Japan a 4 day weekend by taking Friday off" 日本の3連休を、金曜日も休みをとって4連休にした。 .
