いつも「I am in first grade of elementary school.」

  • I am ... years old.

You wrote the correct phrase, only to remember to write '...in THE first grade..'
I am in the first grade of elementary school.
You can also say your age because many countries have different types of schools and a different grading systems. For example in the UK, we don't normally use the word 'grade' but say 'year.'
A British student would say:
I am in year 3
I am in year 5.
We also have infant school, junior school and high school instead of elementary school and junior high school.

I hope that helps!

... in THE first grade ..
I am in the first grade of elementary school.
I am in year 3.
I am in year 5.

I am in first grade.
If you are speaking to someone from the US or someone who has attended an International school that follows the US school pattern they will understand what level of schooling you are in.

I am in elementary school, in the first grade.

Some schools will call elementary school grade school.
So by saying you are in elementary school and in the first grade, the person you are speaking to will know where you are at in school!
I am in first grade.

I am in elementary school, in the first grade.

You can say "I am in first grade." or "I am in the first grade of elementary school."

You could also tell the teacher how old you are.
"I am (Number) years old."

Elementary schools usually have 6 grades with pupils aged between 6 and 12.
So if you are in the first grade of elementary school you are 6years old.
"I am in first grade.(1年制です)" 又は "I am in the first grade of elementary school."

In the UK, we enjoy using prepositions and articles. However in the US, people seem to take great delight in not using them. It is just an obvious difference. In the UK, we would say:
"I'm in THE first grade of elementary school."
In the UK we do not talk about 'grades' as we have an alternative system of 'years'. Similarly we do not use the words 'elementary school' much but prefer to say "Infant' or 'Junior school' or possibly 'Primary school.'
"I'm in THE first grade of elementary school."

"I am in the first grade of primary school."
"Primary school" is a synonym for elementary.
Saying more "primary school" is a common term used in South Africa.
Perhaps this will be helpful when speaking to a South African teacher.

Well done for a good sentence structure.
However remember we say "I am in my first grade of elementary school." instead of saying ""I am in first grade of elementary school."
I am in first grade of elementary school." I am in my first grade of elementary school."

I am in first grade is the perfect answer, however stating that you are a beginner would make clear your level of education.

  • 3. I'm a first grader in elementary school.

1. I'm in the first grade of elementary school.
2. I'm in Grade 1 of elementary school.

「Grade 1」や「Year 1」の時は「the」は言いませんが「the 1st grade」、「the 1st year」の時に「the」が付きます。

3. I'm a first grader in elementary school.

ただし「1st yearer」は言えませんので「I'm a 1st year pupil」と言ってください。

「elementary school」を略しても子供を見れば小学生だとわかりやすいので、「I'm in the 1st grade」、「I'm a first grader」や「I'm in Grade 1」だけで言いことが多いでしょう。

During a self introduction (usually in a English class) when describing yourself you can use these phrases, this refers to your age and grade in school.
example sentence: "My name is Jack and I am 10 years old, I am in the first grade of elementary school".
Elementary school can also be called 'preschool' or 'infant school', usually in the UK we refer to these two instead of 'Elementary'.

I'm a first-grader is the shortest way of saying this. If you are in the first grade, that makes you a first-grader.

In the UK, first grade is called Year 2, so you would say 'I'm in Year 2' rather than 'I'm in the first grade'.
