それは確かに最低な行動ですよね。
「〜の悪口を言う」のは英語で "speak ill of 〜 ", "say bad things about 〜 ", "slander 〜 ", などが使えます。
"Gossip"の方がよく使う言葉なんですが、意味は「噂話」の方に近いので、本当に散々な悪口の場合には"slander"（法的な言葉）が良いと思います。
