ニュアンス的には、両方とも同じです。

「ポイント１０倍です」という表現を英訳すると、「10 times the points」または「10 times the amount of points」という表現を使っても良いと考えました。「ポイントが５倍」という表現は「5 times the points」または「5 times the amount of points」になります。「~ times the points」と「~ times the amount of points」という表現の文法がちょっと違いますが、意味が同じです。この場合、「Amount」という言葉は「量」の意味があります。
