｢Some｣と｢Others｣を使って対比情報を表現できます。
2文とも、Others以降を省略しています。1番｢Others can't memorize a lot of things｣ですが、前文と同様なので省略、2番は｢Others don't have a great memory｣ですが、これも同様の理由で省略しています。日本語は｢抜群もいれば、そうでない人もいる」のように、情報を繰り返すことがよくありますが、英語は省略出来るところはどんどん省略していきます。
｢記憶力が良い」=「memorize a lot of things」(たくさん記憶できる)、｢Have a great memory」(よく覚えている)
2番では｢；｣(セミコロン)を使っています。接続詞のような役割をします。ゆるい意味で、二つの文がつながっている時に使います。
Some people in their late 20's have amazing memories, but other people who are the same age have really poor memories.
この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
ーSome people in their late 20's have amazing memories, but other people who are the same age have really poor memories.
「20代後半の人の中には記憶力が抜群な人もいるが、同じ年代の人でも記憶力がすごく悪い人もいる」
to have amazing memories で「素晴らしい記憶力を持っている」
