The most common used word is 'bunked' a class. A student could also say he or she decided to 'take a rain check' on the class meaning that the student will get the study notes from a fellow class mate later.

There are many ways to express this. I did this far too much during high school and I must say it's not the best idea :). Phrases such as 'cutting class', 'skipping school', 'bunking off', 'pulling a sicky' and many more work here. 'Mutching' is what me and my friends used to say when we skipped class duing high school.

If you are absent from school for no valid reason then you are 'playing truant.' This expression is a little dated however. A more up to date saying would be 'mitch off'. "John is mitching off from school today." This expression may also be used in relation to work or any other activity. To skive, is to do very little work, or no work. To skive off is to be absent from work or school.

Be bothered - not willing to make the effort (to do something). To skip - to leave one thing or place, especially quickly, in order to go to another. Feel free any of these sentences because they have the same role in explaning things.
