「粘土が机に付いちゃった！」だけなら最初の｢The clay got stuck to the desk!｣になります｡｢clay｣が粘土でdesk｣は机(代わりに｢table｣テーブルも使えます)。
次の例が「Artの時間に粘土をしたけど、机に粘土が付いちゃって、掃除するのが大変だった」になります。
We were using play-dough at school today and I smudged some of it on my desk. It was hard to get off.
この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
ーWe were using play-dough at school today and I smudged some of it on my desk. It was hard to get off.
「今日学校で粘土を使ったんだけど、机が粘土で汚れて、取るのが大変だった」
to smudge で「汚れる」
to get off で「取る」
