"monk"や"priest"って両方も使われていますが、"monk"を言う人の方が多い気がします。
仏教は"buddhism"で"buddhist monk"とか結構セットで結構言われているようです。
タイなど東南アジアにいる僧侶のことは「Monk」と呼びます。
例文：

「僧侶」は英語で「monk」又は「priest」と言います。
「仏教の」、「仏門に入った」という意味も伝えたいと思ったら、前に「Buddhist（仏教の）」を付けるといいです。
どう違うかというと、私のイメージですが、「priest」の方は法事などの宗教に大事な行事で話をしたり祈りをしたりする人です。「Monk」は宗教の勉強に専念する人です。

「たくさんの国で僧侶は大変尊敬されている人です。」
「In Japan, people usually ask a Buddhist priest to perform the memorial service.」
「日本では、法事を僧侶にお願いするのが普通です。」
本来はこれを英語で monk 又は priest と言いますが、カトリック教にも monk（修道士）と priest（神父）がいるので区別をつけるために Buddhist（仏教の）をつけて a Buddhist monk または a Buddhist priest と言う方がベストだと思います。

It is obvious from the photo that the person is some sort of religious official. If you aren't sure what religion they belong to then "religious official" is a general term that you can use. Due to their shaved head and clothes, however, I would assume that they are a monk, which is a Buddhist religious official.
For example: He decided to be a monk after the car accident.
