伝記って英語でなんて言うの？

例文 1：Biographies of great people are of course interesting and provide many useful insights, but biographies of less well-known people can be very interesting too.

偉人の伝記はもちろん面白くてためになると思いますがあまり知られていない人の伝記もとても面白い場合もあります。

例文 2: I have just finished reading the biography of Einstein.
アインシュタインの伝記を読み終わったところです。

biographyを二つに分けると、bio「命」、「生命」graphy「書く」「記録」です。なので誰かの一生について書いたものはbiographyです。

自伝（その人自身が自分の人生について書いた本）はautobiographyです。autoは「自」「自身」「自動」という意味があります。

伝記はbiographyと言います。autobiographyはその偉人が自分で書いた伝記（自伝）ということです。biographicalは「伝記の〜」の意味です。

例：I like ready autobiographies. 伝記を読むのが好き。

例：I think biographies are more factual than autobiographies. 自伝より伝記の方が事実だと思う。

例：Biographical movies are always interesting. 電気の映画がいつも面白い。
