「内側」は英語でinsideやinteriorやinner partなどと言えます。その反対、「外側」はoutsideやexteriorやouter partなどと言えます。insideなどの言葉は「中」と「内」の意味があります。interiorはよく建物の中を表している場合に使う言葉です。inner partは「中の部分」という意味です。一番よく使っている言葉はinsideだと思います。しかし、全部はほとんど同じ意味があるから、互換に使えます。
例：
I could see my dog inside the window waiting for me.
窓の内側で犬が私を待っているのが見えました。
The interior of the house is nice and clean.
家の内側が素敵で綺麗です。
The outer part of her bag is black but the inner part is colorful.
彼女のかばんの外側は黒いですが、内側はカラフルです。
「Inside」 は普通に「the」だけと一緒に使われています。名詞として使わない場合、動詞とつきます。

どこの内側か説明したいときは、「inside of 」になれます。
It's inside of the bag. 鞄の内側にあります。
「内側」という言葉を英語で伝えると、「inside」という言葉も「interior」という言葉も使っても良いと考えました。反対は「外側」です。その言葉を英語で表すと、「outside」と「exterior」になります。例えば、「inside of the box」と「outside of the box」と言っても良いです。「Box」は「箱」という意味があります。「Interior」と「exterior」が使っている例文は「The interior and the exterior of the car are both black.」です。

まあ、運転に関するですが、「内側車線」は "inside lane"といいますね。
