といいます。
「肘掛けいす」の場合は、
・sit in an armchair
と in が使われることが多いです。
sit in a chair は「深く腰掛ける」、
sit on a chair は「軽く腰掛ける」という感じです。
「いすの形状」などにより、in と on を使い分けます。
