Where there is a 'corner' of a road, there may well be a road junction, so the corner may be described by reference to either the junction or the approaching street.
If the 'corner' is just a sharp bend in the road, it is probably not a good place to stop a car and get out as passing traffic may not see you
- until it is too late!

そこにcornerがあれば、道路の交差点があるということでもあります。つまり、cornerとは交差点であり尚且つ、道へのアクセスという意味を含む。もし、cornerがただの急な曲がり角であれば、それはおそらく停車できないような場所でしょうし、抜ける際に前方からくる車両が見えなくて危険です。
