「写真」は picture または photo のどちらでも結構です。
I want a picture/photo of us looking at the ocean together. というと、「私たちが一緒に海を見ている写真が欲しい」となります。

I want to take a picture/photo of us looking at the ocean together. でも意味は変わりませんが、「私たちが一緒に海を見ている写真を撮りたい」というちょっとした違いです。
